it's the little things...

As my time in Dublin is over the half-way point, I am starting to realize just how much this place is home to me now. As charming as it is and as much fun as I'm having, I am starting to hit that point where I've been missing home-home a lot. All I want to do is curl up on my couch with my dogs and binge on Jody-cookies (hi, mom) (miss ya).

That being said, with <6 weeks to go, I know I need to make the absolute most of my time here. At the beginning of this experience, I was so consumed with the grandeur of this adventure that it was easy to distract myself with the hustle and bustle of city life, new landscape and different culture. Now that things have settled though, I'm realizing what I am really going to miss the most are the little things. I'm going to miss family dinners with my amazing housemates, the atmosphere of my little apartment complex, the walks to school, the smells of the city... the list goes on. Ultimately, I am so lucky to have this experience and be seeing the beautiful things I am.

Here are some of the "little things" that have made the past week very wonderful...

So, this actually might be making me more homesick, but following along with my favorite spots from abroad has been really nice. I can't wait to get back to Dave's and camp out there for a whole afternoon, drowning myself in scones and coffee and good company.

Cozy Sweaters

Enough said.

Travel

This weekend took me to Barcelona... some much needed sunshine and sand were just what the doctor ordered. It was amazing to be in such a radically different city... the city's vibes were really unique to any of the places I've visited so far, especially Dublin. The tapas, sangria and beautiful architecture were an incredible way to end my "big" travels for the semester. Looking forward to spending the next few weeks really making the most of Ireland.

Love Letters

THANK YOU, thank you, thank you to all of my family and friends who keep the love coming via snail mail! You have no clue how much it brightens up my week. I can't wait to see you all again!
