Weekend in Howth/Trimm

The past two days were full of wandering. This was the first time my group and I got to explore out of Dublin... and explore we did.

Saturday we ended up at Howth (silent "w"), a g o r g e o u s sea town about 20 minutes outside of Dublin. Lots of fresh fish, fresh air.. and I even found donuts. (Yeah, you try going a week without donuts. See how that treats you. Such sweet reunion). Real talk- the views of the ocean were breathtaking beyond words. Nothing could have prepared me for seeing those views. Incredible.

After exploring Howth, the group and I traveled to Trim Castle in County Meath per recommendation of our history professor. It's hard to fathom the history in this country. Everything here is so much older than anything in America- we are such a newborn country in comparison! This Norman castle was a sight for sore eyes and we took a really neat tour. (Braveheart was filmed here! Never seen it... but #cool.)

Amazing weekend overall. Really refreshing to step out of Dublin and see some green things.
